Kirkwood Small Home

Sometimes everything falls into place. Our client for this project originally asked us to scout a way to add a bedroom to his rental house, but when we spied the two-car garage our gears started turning, and we suggested he repurpose it as a tiny house rental. We didn’t want to pretend the structure was never a garage. Finding ways to celebrate some of its existing features, we kept a garage door to open up the living area to the new screened patio, allowing the indoors to flow with the outdoors for a multi- season living space. The floor plan takes advantage of existing glass block openings to provide light into the more private spaces.
